. this incident after in 2009 when four oakland police officers were gunned down. tonight we've got a chopper overhead trying to look for two men. it's been blocked off for about four blocks on seminary. linked again to the shooting of a police officer. police say it happened just after 6:20 when that officer, an undercover cop was working here, trying to get more information on a weekend shooting that happened in the area. but while he was here, police say three armed men confronted him and before backup could arrive, the undercover officer was shot in the arm. police immediately set up this perimeter, and one man is in custody. while we were here, we did see one man appeared cuffed. we do not know if he was another suspect in custody or if he's just a person of interest. the good news again, the officer is okay, taken to a local hospital. but people we spoke with here told us this has become a common scene. >> i stay here, there was a shooting last week. there's been a lot going on up in here. it's oakland, california. you know, so you know what you got to do is be aware. but seminary, you

touches the surface and starts to freeze there. 46 in san francisco tonight. 43 in oakland. 43 as well in san jose. our area of low pressure just moved out of dodge and headed into southern california earlier this morning. we actually started to see some clearing. for monday and tuesday, high pressure builds in. it is going to keep the storm track to the north of us. so we will look for warmer conditions and plenty of sunshine as we head into wednesday and thursday though the high will kick out of here, and it will allow a colder air mass to settle in. that is what will drop temperatures and bring us a chance of showers. this is your monday commute. 5:00 a.m. you will notice mainly clear conditions. although it is not picking up some of the pockets of fog. it will be out there. 8:00 a.m., you will see a little high clouds starting to drift into the north bay. and then by 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 tomorrow afternoon we will look for plenty of sunshine and i say bring it on. it is also going to translate to some warmer temperatures. how about some 60s? 60 for santa rosa tomorrow as well as nap

to recover this morning after he was shot by a suspect in oakland. that officer was one of two responding to a two-car crash when they heard gunshots near the intersection of 49th avenue and east 12th street. this all happened right around 6:00 last night. police say the officers found a man with a gun and that man began to fire at them hitting one officer. the other officer shot but missed the suspect. both officers continued to chase the suspect and were ultimately able to arrest him nearby. the injured officer is a 13-year veteran of the force and is in stable condition this morning. investigators are trying to figure out if the suspect is somehow related to the initial car crash. this is the second time an oakland police officer has been shot in just five days. monday night a little over a mile away on the 1700 block of seminary avenue an undercover police officer working on a sunday shooting was also shot. police made five arrests in connection with that officer-involved shooting and they say they won't stop until everyone involved is held responsible. >> when someone is so bold and

but very cold temperatures now. 31 in gilroy, 35 in san jose, 39 in oakland, 30 in santa rosa. we're expecting to see a bright day, lots of sunshine, going to warm us quickly, just as many of us got close to 0 degrees yesterday we're looking at a similar situation today, santa cruz at 71 degrees, our warm spot with the strong offshore flow. san francisco at 69 and same for oakland and san jose at 68. there is one word of caution, there is a high surf advisory this weekend so with the warm temperatures you may be tempted to get out to the beach. definitely avoid prolonged periods of turning your back on the beach. we're expecting swells, chris, up to 20 to 30 feet. the mavericks are taking place tomorrow so if you are going to be spectating, use extreme caution and remember the swells can come 20 to 30 seconds and this means that a lot of that pullback into the ocean you may just think it's over but once the waves come back it's very strong. >> don't turn your back, watch over the kids and the pets. thank you, anthony. >>> to a developing story involving the 49ers, the investigatio
